1. Essential cookies

These keep you signed in and secure. They are always on, because the service cannot work without them.

• Sign-in sessionSet when a merchant signs in, or a shopper signs in to their account at a shop. Removed when you sign out.
• kz_account_…Tells a shop's pages you may have an account there, so they check your sign-in. It holds nothing about you.
• kz_measure_…Remembers whether you allowed analytics, for kigezi.shop or for a shop, so we do not ask again. Kept for 180 days.

2. Analytics

Analytics is off unless you allow it. A shop on Kigezi asks before it counts your visits; kigezi.shop asks through Cookie preferences at the bottom of the home page. When you say no, nothing about your visit is kept.

3. Storage on your device

Your bag and saved items at a shop stay in your browser's storage until you hand them over or sign in to an account there. A merchant's phone also remembers their email, so they can sign in with one tap; "Forget me" on the sign-in page removes it. None of this is sent to us unless you act on it.

4. Changing your choice

Change your analytics choice at any time: through Cookie preferences on the home page, or "Counting visits" in a shop's menu. You can also clear cookies and site data in your browser's settings.
